Nominations for the Ericka Johanson Memorial Award 2026 (now closed)

Ericka Johanson

This award was created in memory of Ericka Johanson who passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in 2021. Amongst her roles on the EMDR UK Board, Ericka was the Regional and SIG group coordinator for the Association. It seemed fitting, therefore, to remember Ericka by creating a biennial award in recognition of Regional Groups or Special Interest Groups who have performed above and beyond in the furtherance of EMDR therapy in the UK. 

What makes a group eligible for the award?

Groups might be considered for the award if they show one or more of the following:

  • Actively organise CPD events
  • Have a large or steadily growing membership
  • Contribute to research connected with EMDR Association UK’s Scientific & Research Committee
  • Are highly valued and well-supported by their members
  • Or demonstrate other outstanding qualities that make a positive difference to members or the wider EMDR community
  • Who can propose a group for the award?
    Any member who is not on the group’s committee 
  • When should you apply?
    By 6th January, 2026. 
    Late applications cannot be accepted.
