Whilst a member of the Royal Ulster Constabulary in the early 1980s, Michael Patterson lost both his arms in an IRA bomb. He was only 22 years old and had just got married. Michael gradually rebuilt his life, went back into education, and is now a distinguished EMDR Europe Accredited Senior Trainer based in Northern Ireland, awarded an OBE for his achievements.
