EMDR and Attachment SIG
The aims of the special interest group are:
To support the understanding and practice of the role of Attachment in EMDR therapy
To provide a forum to bring members together to support professional development in the field of Attachment and EMDR. This includes the following:
- The sharing of ideas, resources and innovation in clinical practice, as well as the exploration of areas of development and learning in the field of Attachment and EMDR
- The facilitation of case discussions to support learning
- The organisation of CPD events and workshops
- To support and develop research opportunities in consultation with the Scientific and Research Committee and in line with the strategic aims of the Association
- Sharing and learning from publications, research literature and journal papers in the area of Attachment and EMDR
- To provide a link between members and the Association, and supporting and enhancing the objectives of the Association, with a particular focus on promoting best evidence-based practice of EMDR whilst adhering to the Association’s ethical guidelines, fidelity and the integrity of EMDR of EMDR
The Special Interest Group will meet the requirements outlined by the SIG Handbook (January 2024), which will be outlined in formal Terms of Reference.
