Children & Young People

• The CYP Special Interest Groups will consist of members who share an interest in working with children and young people using EMDR.
• Subject to the EMDR UK Association Board being satisfied that the establishment of the Group, we would seek to support and enhance the Objectives of the Association.
• Our aim includes adherence to the Association’s ethical guidelines, promoting best practice, and maintaining fidelity and the integrity of EMDR.
•  The CYP SIG seeks to provide an easy to access forum for discussion of EMDR matters
• The aims will be multifold and we will actively seek the views of our membership using Microsoft forms questionnaires, providing both qualitative and quantitative feedback.
• The CYP SIG would seek to create and host CPD events such as small scale conferences, courses and workshops, subject to content being ratified and approved by the EMDR UK Association and Board.
• The Committee members seek to provide a vital communication link with the Board on matters of interest to local members
• This ensures that members have a voice by informing the Board of members’ opinions and needs.
•  This aim seeks to keep members informed of EMDR UK Board matters.

We will strive for transparency around Governance and seek feedback form the Board and the membership whilst regularly  linking in with the SIG/RIG Co-ordinator, the Association Treasurer and Association Secretary.
