Bio
Claire van den Bosch is a Transpersonally trained integrative psychotherapist with a first degree and MA in Psychology Philosophy and Physiology. She trained in EMDR with Matt Wesson in 2019, after experiencing its power as a client, and is now an accredited EMDR Europe Practitioner. Claire has been passionate about parts work for 25 years as it was a key feature of her first significant period in therapy for her own trauma. Since starting her formal IFS training in 2021 Claire has been fumbling around hoping to find an integration of the two modalities which represents her belief in both of them. She completed her IFS institute Level 3 in 2023. When she’s not working - which is rarely if you ask some of her parts and some of her family - she loves icy cold-water swimming, motorcycling, stone carving, drawing, and watching snooker. She suspects that her kaleidoscopic array of interests is reflective of the huge variety of the parts of her who she has come to know.
Bethany Parris is a chartered clinical psychologist, an EMDR Europe accredited practitioner, and an IFS certified therapist. She has been passionate about EMDR for years and after discovering IFS has been regularly integrating the two therapies. After living for a long time in Australia, Beth returned to the UK in 2014 and is currently living in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. Some of her other passions are for Looked After Children and working with horses as a second therapist. She is currently working with Looked After Children, for a DV charity, in private practice, and provides pro bono therapy for the charity Emmaus with recently homeless men struggling with addictions. In her spare time Beth loves walking her bonded pair of adopted labradors. In terms of their partnership, Claire and Beth met whilst completing their IFS Levels 2 and 3 trainings in Bristol in 2022 and 2023. At that time, they hatched joint plans to support themselves and others through the journey of integrating EMDR and IFS which they both feel passionately about. It has felt increasingly natural to explore delivering training together - resulting in today's workshop and a developing their website ifswithemdr.com.
