Location
Yorkshire Sculpture Park

Presented by The Yorkshire Region of the EMDR Association

Aims

The aim of this workshop is to dive deeper into the most important subtleties of effectively integrating IFS into the eight phases of EMDR. This workshop is designed to build on the understanding of participants who have already attended an introductory workshop on this integration, and to develop increased competence within the 8 phases of EMDR to:

  • Release constraints on our own Self energy in sessions;
  • Use IFS informed interweaves including interweaves based on the IFS Healing Steps;
  • Work somatically; and
  • Work with extreme and heavily burdened parts **

** Please be aware that it won’t be possible within the time limitations of this workshop to comprehensively cover how to use IFS-informed EMDR to work with personality disorder, DID, psychosis or extreme / life-threatening addiction.

Audience

Previous attendees of Beth and Claire’s introductory workshop or of other introductions to the integration of these two models.

Learning Objectives

  • Increased competence using 6 F’s and other IFS interweaves in the context of dyadic practice
  • Developing deeper insight into the ‘Silent Interweave’ – the role of therapist parts in successful treatment
  • Exploration of the use of the IFS Healing Steps in working with Exiles in the EMDR Phases 4-7
