EMDR East Anglia networking day– Music and Neurodiversity

Date and time
9:30 am, 26 Apr 2025

Location
Ely Beet Sports & Social Club

The EMDR East Anglia Association steering group cordially invites members to the Ely in-person networking day on Saturday April 26, 2025, in the beautiful cathedral city of Ely.

The EMDR UK association has awarded 6 CPD points.

Our speakers for the day are Cassandra Manning with a presentation on “Using Music as an Interweave in EMDR” and Esther Kiel on “Neuro-affirmative enhancements to EMDR therapy and supervision”.

Following Esther’s presentation in the afternoon, there will be ample time for networking with old friends and new allies.

Lunch is provided and there will be a book stall.

We think this will be a practice-enhancing, interactive and, unusually, also a musical day of in-person CPD and we look forward to welcoming you.

Bio

Cassandra is an integrative arts psychotherapist specialising in creative process in integrative EMDR psychotherapy.

Informed by her training and experience in how music can play into well-being and health, Cassandra will demonstrate how to use music & imagery as EMDR interweaves.

Mus-EMDR uses received music within the framework of the standard EMDR protocol. It can be used in all phases of EMDR.

Esther is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and is neurodivergent herself.

The strengths and limitations that come with ADHD and other forms of neurodiversity, whether encountered in clients, in colleagues or in oneself, require understanding and accommodation. Esther will be showing us how to supercharge the 8 phases of the standard EMDR protocol with neuro-affirmative enhancements to therapeutic and supervision work.

Her presentation will be interactive and will get everyone involved.
