Attendees will be able to crtically analyse EMDR publications for quality and scientific robustness, enabling them to make informed clinical decisions.

Aims

To develop the scientist/practitioner function of members by developing critical analytic skills to interpret and assess the quality of published EMDR literature

Bio Presenter

Anthea Sutton is the Senior Information Specialist at the School of Health and Related Research (ScHARR), University of Sheffield.  Anthea has expertise in systematic searching and information management for evidence synthesis projects and other types of research activity.  Anthea is also the Director of Professional Learning for ScHARR, leading on a programme of online professional learning courses.  Anthea is the project lead for the implementation and maintenance of the EMDR Publications Database. 

Beverly has worked in clinical research for the best part of thirty years, in academia and the pharmaceutical industry. She has extensive experience of writing for publication (in her own name and as a ghost-writer) both in academic journals and in-house publications. She is an EMDR accredited practitioner and the current editor of ETQ. She has held research fellow posts at The University of Southampton and most recently was an honorary lecturer in the Department of Psychology at Chichester University. Her most recent publication is Alexandra Barley, E., & Coghlan, B. (2020). Supporting recovery from COVID-19. British Journal of Nursing, 29(21), 1272-1276.
