INTRODUCTION:
When Ian trained as an EMDR Training Facilitator he found that going back to basics was invaluable to his own practice, despite being an experienced Consultant. Consequently, he developed this workshop which reviews the fundamentals of EMDR. Feedback from participants who have previously attended Ian’s workshop has been very positive.
The webinar will be very interactive with the main theme based on an overview of the 8 phase EMDR protocol, including group exercises on resource installation, negative/positive cognitions and taxing the working memory. There will be a pair practicum together with reviewing some core EMDR protocols.

About the Presenter:
Ian is an EMDR Europe Accredited Consultant who worked in health and social care for over 25 years and initially qualified as a mental health social worker.
He has an MA in Integrative Counselling and is accredited as a psychotherapist with the BACP. Ian retired from the NHS in June 2022 after 20 years in a variety of roles in primary and secondary care, including EMDR lead for a large NHS Trust. He now works in private practice and is an EMDR Training Facilitator.
Ian began his EMDR training in 2007 and became an Accredited Consultant in 2011. He has a vast experience of supervising individuals and groups in health care settings, the voluntary and private sectors. Additionally, he has taken many clinicians to Practitioner and Consultant accreditation.
He feels that he is constantly learning from both clients and supervisees and is passionate about promoting the positive benefits of EMDR.
The session will be recorded and will be available for three months after the event. 6 CPD points have been awarded by the EMDR Association UK.
