C&A Committee Recruitment

We are looking for new members to join the C&A committee. This voluntary role offers an opportunity to contribute to the wider leadership of EMDR Association UK, help shape the direction of C&A activity, and support members working in this specialist area of practice.

About the role

Being a committee member is a voluntary position. The role includes being responsible for discussing and making recommendations to the Board on issues that relate to working with the Children, Adolescents and their families. Ultimately the committee are responsible to for ensuring that C&A members are supported in their work through the association. This may include:   

  • Reviewing and contributing to European standards and practice 
  • Liaising with C&A Trainers 
  • Working with other committees to promote the work of C&A therapists, practitioners and consultants   
  • Planning and providing CPD events 
  • Working with the conference committee on C&A content  
  • Communication with the membership 
  • Public facing materials to improve the understanding of EMDR with C&A 

The Committee meet every 6-8 weeks usually on a Saturday morning 9-11am. This may change from time to time to accommodate members. Occasionally other relevant parties may be requested to join meetings

The deadline for receipt of applications is 31st of July 2026. Late applications will not be considered. After reviewing applications, the applicants will have an individual informal meeting with a representative of the C&A committee.
