We are looking for two members to join the EDI committee. Those with lived experience and a passion for EDI (equality, equity, diversity and inclusion) are encouraged to consider joining along with those who have experience in:
1. Bursary formation and applications
2. Community engagement, marketing and accessibility

About the role
Being a committee member is a voluntary position. The role includes being responsible for discussing and making recommendations to the Board on issues that relate to equality, diversity and inclusion. Ultimately the committee are responsible to for ensuring that EDI is considered in all areas of the associations work. These include but are not limited to:
- Guidance and policies
- Monitoring inclusion
- Planning and providing CPD
- Communication with the membership
The Committee meet every 6-8 weeks on a Monday at 6pm for 1.5 hours. This may change from time to time to accommodate members. Occasionally other relevant parties may be requested to join meetings.

Applications are particularly encouraged from members of the Global Majority, as well as individuals from other groups that are underrepresented in the field, including people with disabilities, LGBTQ+, and socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds.
