Vacancy- Freelance Editor for EMDR Therapy Quarterly (ETQ)

EMDR UK is seeking a new Editor for ETQ who can continue to produce a stimulating read, striving for academic rigour as well as interest and accessibility to Association members and therapists interested in EMDR.  We are looking for the suitable candidate to start as soon as possible to allow a phased handover with the current editor who is stepping down after 3 years in the role.  Current and past editions of ETQ can be viewed online here:  Home – EMDR Therapy Quarterly

The new Editor must have experience of commissioning, writing and editing articles. You will have a background in psychology and mental health and would Ideally be an experienced EMDR therapist. ETQ is published in our standard house style and format that we have developed over the last 4 years using WordPress templates, which don’t require specific experience. You will be enthusiastic about EMDR and tenacious in encouraging others to write articles and content for ETQ. You will be a self-starter but will have access to the resources provided by EMDR UK where required.

Further Information about the role:

  • This role is home-based with travel expenses paid where appropriate for conferences and meetings.
  • Remuneration: A fixed fee of £2000 per edition is paid on publication.
  • Number of hours per week – variable dependent on requirements but estimate 50-80 hours per edition.
  • Contract type – contract
  • IT equipment is not provided but all software subscriptions to Microsoft and WordPress products are included.
